Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data HeteroGenz Ltd collects when you visit our website or get in touch with us, how we use it, and the rights you have. We keep it simple: we only collect what we need to reply to you and to run our business.

Who we are

HeteroGenz Ltd ("HeteroGenz", "we", "us") is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We are a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16641886.

Registered address: Unit 2a 2nd Floor, Cavendish House, 369 Burnt Oak Broadway, Edgware, England, HA8 5AW.

For any privacy question or request, email us at admin@heterogenz.co.uk.

What we collect

When you contact us through our website form: your full name, email address and message, and, if you choose to give them, your phone number, any additional details and a PDF attachment.

When you email or call us: your contact details and whatever you share with us in that conversation.

When you visit our website: basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. Our hosting provider uses this to deliver and secure the site, and we see anonymous, combined visitor statistics.

Please don't send us sensitive information (such as health details) through the contact form unless it is needed for your project.

How we use your data and our legal basis

  • To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote. Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
  • To deliver and manage a project if you become a client. Our legal basis is performing our contract with you.
  • To keep business and accounting records. Our legal basis is complying with our legal obligations.
  • To keep our website secure and understand how it is used, so we can improve it. Our legal basis is our legitimate interests.

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or add you to a mailing list.

Who we share it with

We only share your data with trusted service providers who help us run our website and business, and only as far as they need it:

  • Vercel Inc., which hosts our website and provides our privacy-friendly visitor statistics.
  • IONOS, which provides our business email. Messages sent through our contact form are delivered to our IONOS inbox.

We may also share data with professional advisers (such as our accountant) or where the law requires us to.

International transfers

Vercel is based in the United States, so some website data may be processed outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on recognised legal safeguards, such as the UK's data adequacy arrangements or approved contract clauses, to make sure your data stays protected.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that don't lead to a project: up to 2 years, then deleted.
  • Client records, contracts and invoices: 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as required by UK tax rules.
  • Website visitor statistics: kept only in anonymous, combined form.

Cookies

Our website does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. Our visitor statistics are collected without cookies and do not identify you personally.

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete
  • ask us to delete your data
  • ask us to limit how we use your data, or object to us using it
  • ask us to transfer your data to another organisation

Keeping your data safe

We use secure, encrypted connections for our website and email, and limit access to your data to the people who need it to help you.
